Enthusiasm and a defined approach characterise Deepali’s paintings as she puts brush to canvas, giving vent to the thoughts, feelings and experiences that constitute her routine. The vivacious artist started her art journey five years ago, growing gradually from strength-to-strength. Almost-loud form draws one to her canvases, where opacity and clear demarcations play with space. Vibrant hues mingle yet hold their own as they meet in conversation as much within the confines of the canvas as directly with the viewer. Knife work and roller application peeps through the layering, which at times seems to engage the viewer, urging them to explore deeper. Orange and deep red find home repeatedly in her work, perhaps subconsciously veering towards the vivacious nature of their creator.
