Vinay Sane
Artist Resume: Vinay Sane (b. 1963, Mumbai, India)
Vinay is a self-taught artist inspired by nature, spirituality, and the emotional depth of human experience. A former engineer trained at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, he left a two-decade career in electronics to pursue his true calling: painting.
Vinay’s work spans impressionist landscapes, pure abstractions, and Sanskrit-inspired text explorations, all unified by vibrant colour and meditative energy. He uses palette knives, flat brushes, edge-smoothening and layer smearing cloths and at times masking fluids. Influenced by masters from Van Gogh to Sabavala, he draws inspiration from the quiet energy of the Krishna River in Wai, the spiritual vastness of the Himalayas and the profound resonance of Sanskrit shlokas.
