Shahfahad Raja

My artistic journey began in 2013 when I first experimented with charcoal. Since then, I have expanded to acrylics, ink, and other mixed media. From the beginning, I’ve been drawn to unconventional tools, often using objects like wood, mirrors, feathers, and stones to add shape and
emotion to my work.
My color palette is dominated by black, red, and white colors with which I deeply resonate. When I create, I never focus on the final outcome; instead, the process itself guides me. My art is spontaneous and driven by the emotions I experience in the moment.
I have no formal training in art, my creativity stems from personal experiences that can only be expressed visually. Each piece is open to interpretation, allowing the viewer to find their own
meaning in the work. I believe art should offer freedom, not restrictions, and should encourage
introspection.
Education
•Master’s in Information Technology (MSc IT)
•Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
I transitioned from the IT industry to art, driven by my desire to express my experiences and
emotions through abstract mediums.
Inspiration
I draw deep inspiration from the works of Pierre Soulages and Tracey Emin. Their exploration of
existential themes and raw emotional depth resonates with my own artistic journey.Key Themes in My Work

•Anxiety and Fear: My works explore universal emotions of anxiety, fear, and uncertainty.
•Joy and Happiness: I depict the fleeting nature of joy, capturing moments of happiness in abstract
forms.
•Anger and Rage: Social injustice and frustration are expressed in bold, intense strokes.
•Loneliness and Isolation: My art often reflects the isolating aspects of the human experience.
•Existence: The meaning of existence and existential crises feature prominently in my work .
