Born in Rourkela, Odisha (India) and based in Mumbai for over two decades, Jasbinder Singh is a multidisciplinary visual artist, educator, and experimental animation designer.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts at The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (Gujarat). He later earned a research-based master’s degree in fine arts from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (Maharashtra). Additionally, he completed a three-year diploma in Animation Filmmaking from ZICA, Hyderabad, India.

Jasbinder’s practice blends traditional art techniques. He has been working with traditional mediums on paper and canvas for more than two decades. His preferred mediums include watercolour and acrylic. From the last few years, he has also been experimenting with video installation art, using stop-motion, 2D animation, and exploring ways to incorporate 3D-printed models along with other mixed materials.

In April 2024, he was invited as a master artist to demonstrate watercolour at Fabriano in Acquarello, an international watercolour event held in Bologna, Italy. His works were also showcased in Italy and the USA that year. He serves as one of the country leaders for the 2026 edition of Fabriano in Aquarelle, Italy.

In 2024, he participated in a group exhibition at Punjab Lalit Kala Bhavan and exhibited at the Art 81 Festival organized by the Election Commission of Jharkhand.

From February 25 to March 3, 2025, he presented a solo (shared gallery) exhibition of 39 works at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In March 2025, he participated in the World Art Conclave (WAC) at the Nehru Centre, Mumbai. Later that year, from December 19 to 21, 2025, he was part of the two-artist exhibition “Mystical Confluence” at the Roerich Art Gallery, Himachal Pradesh. Recently, he exhibited in a group show of three artists, “Contemplation,” consisting of 18 works and a video art piece, in April 2026 at Urmila Art Gallery, Kanoria Art Centre, Ahmedabad (Gujarat, India).

Jasbinder has exhibited extensively in group shows across India and internationally, including venues in Italy, Hungary, Malaysia, Baroda, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Mumbai. His commissioned works are part of several private and corporate collections, including Petrochemicals, Tran Spek Industries, CISF (Rourkela), Sarjan Art Gallery, and collectors in Thailand, Germany, the USA, and India.
