Born in 1989 in the small village Chabua (Assam), where people have very less
knowledge of art and becoming an artist was never appreciated. Right from the
childhood onwards Taranga Boruah started painting. He graduated in Enginee-
ring from CIPET Bhubaneswar Institute in India. Though he started his carrier as
an engineer, his heart was always that of an artist, and later he began his carrier
as artist. For art he shifted to Vadodara, four thousand kilometers away from his
hometown, and under the guidance of Guru Shri Rajendra Dindorkar, a renowned
artist of that city, he learned oil painting. He had many group shows in India,
his paintings were also selected for a national level competition. The subject for
painting are mainly expression and emotion of women. Taranga Boruah believes
that women were the most beautiful creation of God on earth and nothing could
be better than a woman as an theme of study for art. He travels to deep interior
villages to bring those faces of women to the limelight of the art world.
