I AM DEBLINA. I HAVE COMPLETED
B.V.A (PAINTING) FROM THE INDIAN COLLEGE OF ART AND DRAFTMANSHIP(YEAR 2009) AND M.F.A (PAINTING) FROM RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY(YEAR 2011). FOR MY PAINTINGS, I HAVE USED ACRYLIC COLOR IN DRY BRUSH TECHNIQUE AND MIXED MEDIA ON SMOOTH PLANE.I started my painting keeping nature and woman in same frame as one complementing to other. I wanted to open the mystery of inner world of a woman by painting. My painted women were in various moods and of various roles. The mood of the woman has been changed with the role she is representing. The environment of my painting is very important to catch the loneliness, sadness or the silent protest of the woman. As a painter I leaned more towards realism than abstraction of figure in my first phase of painting.
Though most of my paintings have dramatic forms but they are not narrative, rather I tried to keep a balance between form and subject of my paintings. I have selected smooth Plane and used acrylic color in dry brush technique and mixed media. I preferred to use bright, vivid color instead of using mixture of colors which I think, have helped me in catching the mood of my painting. In my painting I have distinctly changed the form in creating human body preferably using round shape. This shape has taken me away from the naturalistic form but, I think it has enriched the boldness as well as the esthetic value of my painting. It has given an ironic twist to the object of my paintings. I have just started my journey in the vast way of art world. Where a lot of experience and knowledge that will enrich me and my paintings. But, I will always try to relate people with my creation.
