Description
Framed within a tilted, ceremonial lozenge, the work reads like an excerpted mural—an iconographic “memory cloth” where a cool blue sanctuary is protected by an ornate yellow border, as if culture itself were a guarded hearth. Around it, wiry black figures—dancers, hunters, animals, and totemic emblems—spiral across an earthen ground, their rhythmic repetition turning daily life into chant and procession. The sunburst motif and scattered symbols oscillate between the cosmic and the communal, suggesting a worldview in which weather, ritual, and kinship share one continuous language. By balancing dense narrative marks with breathing space, the composition preserves the sensation of oral history: intimate, urgent, and perpetually in motion.
