Description
This work stages a village-cosmos in emblematic blocks of color, where domed sanctuaries, a striped tower, and a humble house coexist like memories arranged into ritual order. The flattened perspective and thick black contouring turn figures into icons—saint, mourner, witness—so that faith and daily labor feel equally ceremonial under a canopy of stars and watchful eyes. Saturated reds and greens pulse against the sunlit yellow ground, creating a tension between warmth and austerity, as if the scene were both celebration and vigil. In its folk-symbolic grammar, the piece reads as a meditation on belonging: architecture becomes shelter for the spirit, and the human presence is held—quietly, insistently—inside communal myth.
