Description
The work stages a quiet metamorphosis inside a vessel-like sanctuary, where a striped, fetal figure curls into itself as though rehearsing a new identity in private. Above, three schematic panels read like fragmented memories—gesture, passage, and a lone sprout—while the central conduit pours time downward in a ribbon of ochre and ink, binding thought to body. Muted blues and earthen yellows, scored with etched linework, create a weathered atmosphere that feels both archival and intimate, as if the image were unearthed rather than made. In its contained space, the piece speaks of gestation not only as biological becoming, but as the psyche’s need to retreat, refine, and emerge with altered skin.
