Description
Suspended against a void-like black, the pale stone head reads as both relic and apparition—its sideways orientation turning portrait into a quiet dislocation, as if consciousness has slipped its usual axis. The artist lets light glide across a finely granulated surface, so the work oscillates between soft, living flesh and the stubborn permanence of carved matter, with the nose and lips emerging like memories refusing to erode. This tension between tenderness and mineral weight suggests a meditation on time: identity preserved, yet already drifting toward anonymity, held in the hush between presence and absence.
