Description
This work stages a quiet drama of abrasion and repair, where a chalky, weathered ground is repeatedly interrupted by coal-black ruptures and drip-borne punctuation marks. The composition reads like an eroded wall or palimpsest—horizontal bands and vertical scars create a subtle architectural grid, suggesting memories layered over one another rather than a single fixed image. By limiting the palette to ashen whites and soot greys, the artist turns light into a material substance, letting absence, residue, and stain speak with equal authority. What emerges is a meditation on time’s insistence: surfaces endure, fracture, and still hold the imprint of what once tried to be permanent.
