Description
This monochrome, stippled tableau stages an intimate duet between the human and the mycological, where mushroom caps become both shelter and halo, and music seems to rise from the water like a remembered lullaby. The elongated, mermaid-like bodies spiral in quiet counterpoint—one bowed over a violin, the other listening with devotional stillness—while the dense patterning of dots and filigree turns skin, fungi, and pond into a single vibrating surface. In the stark restraint of black and white, tenderness replaces spectacle: the scene reads as a fable of interdependence, where sound, growth, and refuge are braided into one fragile ecology. The lotus-like bloom at the edge punctuates the reverie with a note of awakening, suggesting that transformation here is not abrupt, but patiently cultivated.
