Surreal Allegory, Intertwined Figures, Binding Cords, Fish Symbolism, Folk Modernism, Saturated Color, Emotional Tension

The work stages a surreal choreography of three elongated, bird-like figures whose bodies coil and interlace like braided currents, turning intimacy into a visible knot of dependency. Thin white cords bind their throats and torsos, a delicate yet insistent line that reads as both lifeline and leash, while the vacant stools beneath them suggest a precarious support system—ritual, performance, or imposed roles. Against the quiet ground, saturated bands of ochre, teal, and red pulse with folk-like ornamentation, and the floating fish—each with an unblinking eye—become emissaries of thought or appetite, drifting between voices as if carrying messages the figures cannot speak. The overall tension is tender and unsettling: a portrait of connection that nourishes and constrains in the same breath.
