Description
Set against concentric arcs of saffron light, the composition stages a modern myth in which a goddess-like figure—ornamented, poised, and half-burdened—absorbs the city’s noise through a glowing phone, as if divinity has been rerouted into a device. Her hair unfurls into a torrent of fish-like forms and particulate motion, a visual metaphor for ideas, labor, and lives caught in circulation, while rigid towers in the distance press a geometric, bureaucratic horizon against the organic density below. The lower register swells into a crowded, almost geological mass of machines, bodies, and debris—rendered in intricate line-work—suggesting progress as both propulsion and accumulation. In this tension between radiant backdrop and congested foreground, the work reads as an elegy for balance: nature, femininity, and community striving to breathe inside an engineered, speed-driven world.
