Description
Arranged as a quiet quadriptych, the work fractures a single human presence into four floating attitudes—curling, recoiling, stretching—so that the body reads less as anatomy than as memory replayed in staggered frames. An earthen red field, bruised by smoky blacks and dulled gold, presses forward like heat or clay, while the faintly diagrammatic markings across the skin suggest measurement, mapping, and the uneasy attempt to make the intimate legible. The repeated hands, open yet ungrasping, introduce a mute choreography of vulnerability, as if the figure is both offering and shielding itself within a space that provides no stable ground. Light is not depicted but implied through abrasion and glazing: it emerges as residue, turning the surface into a site where tenderness and disquiet coexist.
