Description
This triptych orchestrates a quiet dialogue between ornament and void, where dense fields of tessellated blue patterning behave like a disciplined cosmos punctured by apertures of breath and passage. Each panel frames a central “opening” that reads at once as architecture and metaphor—doorway, vessel, and keyhole—suggesting thresholds between interior contemplation and the outer, repeating order of tradition. The restrained palette of lapis and sanded gold turns light into a spiritual material, so that the gilded borders feel less like decoration than a protective halo around memory. In the tension between strict symmetry and the trembling irregularity of hand-made marks, the work proposes that sanctity is not perfection but persistence—pattern as prayer, repetition as refuge.
