Description
This sculptural form coils in on itself like a fragment of armor or a deep-sea shell, its crescented silhouette suggesting both protection and rupture. The surface—densely stippled with beadlike nodes—turns black into a living field of micro-reflections, so that light reads as touch, skimming and snagging across each protrusion. As the volume folds and opens, it stages a quiet tension between interior hollow and exterior carapace, evoking the way memory can harden into texture while still leaving an inner chamber of vulnerability. The work’s restrained palette amplifies its material voice, letting the rhythm of repetition become a meditation on accumulation, endurance, and slow metamorphosis.
