Description
A vast red field dominates like a held breath, its heat softened by scraped veils and granular textures that suggest memory embedded in pigment. Through the center, a dark diagonal cleaves the surface, binding fractured ochres and earthen plates into a tense geology of forms, as if the canvas were a fault line mid-shift. Flecks of pale, chalky white gather near the lower edge like residual light after impact, offering a brief reprieve that makes the surrounding crimson feel simultaneously protective and incendiary. The work reads as an interior landscape—an argument between rupture and repair—where color becomes both atmosphere and emotional weather.
