Description
Immersed in a monolithic red field, a face surfaces only as a tremor—its open mouth suspended between a cry and a laugh, between eruption and erasure. The near-total saturation collapses depth into atmosphere, turning the figure into an afterimage that feels trapped behind a membrane of heat, urgency, or alarm. By denying clear contours and conventional space, the work stages a psychological state rather than a portrait: an encounter with intensity so absolute it both reveals and dissolves the self.
