Description
This pen-and-ink composition orchestrates a dense cosmos of spirals, crosshatching, and looping filigree around a central, mask-like form that hovers between vessel, visage, and mnemonic relic. The absence of color heightens the drama of line—each curl and lattice becomes a pulse of thought, as if the drawing records the mind’s weather in real time, moving from disciplined geometry into ecstatic, uncontainable drift. Scattered star motifs puncture the swirling field like fragile certainties, suggesting a personal cosmology where faith, memory, and ornament collide. The work reads as both map and meditation: an intimate topography of inner space rendered through obsessive mark-making that transforms anxiety into pattern and pattern into quiet resolve.
