Description
Rendered in a restrained, charcoal-like monochrome, the triptych unfolds as a meditation on identity dissolving into atmosphere—hair and smoke becoming the same drifting substance that both conceals and reveals. The central visage holds a steady, almost icon-like stillness, while the flanking panels erupt into calligraphic currents that tug at the figure’s boundaries, suggesting memory, breath, or unseen voices pressing in from the margins. Negative space is treated as a psychological field rather than emptiness, allowing the dark tendrils to read as both protective veil and invasive shadow. The work stages an intimate tension between self-possession and dispersal, as if the subject is simultaneously authoring her presence and watching it slip into myth.
