Description
This fragmented assemblage reads like a memory board, where faces and symbols drift as separate artifacts yet insist on a shared psychic gravity. The pale ground becomes an arena of silence, letting rusted ochres and inked blacks press forward with the density of lived experience, while the circular “portrait” at left feels suspended—an inner self caught behind a veil of filigreed thought. Torn edges and mismatched panels interrupt any stable narrative, suggesting identity as something continually edited, archived, and reassembled from partial truths. In the tension between diagrammatic marks and tender facial presence, the work proposes a poetics of reconstruction: intimacy recovered through shards rather than certainties.
