Description
A shallow, obsidian vessel unfolds like a quiet topography, its tightly beaded skin catching light in tiny, reluctant glints that animate the darkness from within. The concentric build and raised, serpentine ridges read as both map and memory—an interior landscape where touch replaces sight, and ornament becomes a kind of slow ritual. Suspended between utility and sculpture, the form’s wide, hovering lip suggests offering and containment at once, turning emptiness into a deliberate presence. In its near-monochrome restraint, the work meditates on accumulation: countless small units resolving into a single, solemn body.
