Description
This portrait constructs a psyche out of shards: planes of peach, slate, and ink-black fold into a face that feels both assembled and quietly unraveling, as if memory has been cut into facets and rejoined. The soft blue field grants the figure a calm, almost ceremonial isolation, while the incandescent orange triangles act like internal warning lights—small eruptions of thought or emotion pressing through the surface. Subtle marbling and crackled textures read as time’s residue, suggesting a self weathered by experience yet held together by the disciplined geometry of the patterned garment. In the turned head and half-shadowed eye, the work stages a tension between concealment and revelation, inviting us to read identity as an evolving collage rather than a fixed likeness.
