Description
Within a tall, totemic frame, the artist stages an aquatic cosmology where a burnished sun-disc and a hovering fish hold the upper register like emblems of guidance, while the stingray’s elongated body becomes a quiet axis binding sky-blue depths to the mineral hush below. Patterned scales, cross-hatched currents, and glyph-like marks lend the water a written quality, as if this seascape is also a ledger of memory and migration. The restrained palette—indigo, ochre, and muted greens—creates a devotional calm, yet the vertical descent suggests a passage into the unconscious, where creatures drift like thoughts between surface clarity and submerged meaning.
