Description
Suspended within a field of deep cobalt, the central, thorn-crowned organism reads as both deity and specimen—an improbable hybrid whose fronded “wings” unfurl like breath made visible, caught between ascent and entanglement. Above it, the radiant orange disc with its barred aperture suggests an eclipsed eye or sealed portal, a watchful cosmological presence that both sanctifies and contains the life below. The pale, ghosted calligraphy at the margins functions like a half-erased scripture, while the lower strip of modular forms becomes a taxonomy of metamorphosis—each vignette repeating the motif as if translating the same mystery across different tongues. The work ultimately stages creation as a ritual of iteration: exuberant, uncanny, and quietly controlled by an invisible grammar.
