Description
Arranged as a quiet grid of small vignettes, the work reads like an excavated archive—fragments of helmets, blades, and animal bodies suspended in a field of pale silence that turns each image into a relic. The restrained palette of bone-white, ink-black, and muted gold lends the drawings a funereal luminosity, as if memory itself were gilded only where violence has left its clearest trace. Across the repeated motifs of protection and wounding—mask and skull, sword and severed form—the piece meditates on how heroic myth is built from partial evidence, and how the body persists as both trophy and warning. The negative space becomes an ethical pause, asking the viewer to complete the narrative while confronting the cost of its romance.
