Description
This sculptural relief stages a solitary yogi in a poised, prayerful ascent, his raised arms and rooted stance forming a living axis within a frame that appears scorched, ruptured, and eroded by time. The cool blue patina of the figure—at once serene and otherworldly—pushes forward against the charred, dripping architectural remnants, turning the surrounding decay into a kind of silent pressure that his balance must withstand. Negative space becomes an active presence: the torn edges and voids read as wounds in the environment, while the figure’s centered stillness proposes inner discipline as a shelter when structure collapses. The work ultimately feels like a meditation on endurance, where spiritual alignment is not escape from ruin but a refined way of inhabiting it.
