Reclining Figures, Nocturne, Earthy Palette, Textured Patina, Intimacy, Surreal Landscape, Quiet Contemplation
Description

Two reclining figures are folded into a landscape of rounded boulders, their bodies echoing the stones so closely that flesh and earth feel made of the same weathered material. A nocturnal band of sky—stitched with scattered points of light—presses gently against the compressed space, turning the scene into a quiet chamber where time slows and breath becomes the only movement. The palette of oxidized reds, soot-dark browns, and ash-grey skin tones suggests both tenderness and erosion, as if intimacy itself has been rubbed raw by memory. In their closed eyes and softened contours, the work reads as a meditation on refuge: rest not as escape, but as a fragile truce between human vulnerability and the enduring weight of the world.
