Description
This graphite creature splices the regal mask of a tiger with an improbably human lower body, turning anatomical certainty into a theater of metamorphosis. The swollen, seedlike torso—scored with flame-stripe rhythms—reads as both protective shell and burden, while the taut bend of knees and splayed feet suggest a poised, uneasy readiness to flee. Sparse background space amplifies the specimen-like solitude, making the hybrid feel suspended between instinct and self-consciousness, as if ferocity has been domesticated into a costume the body must carry. In its quiet monochrome, the work becomes a meditation on identity’s stitching: what we inherit, what we perform, and what strains to break free.
