Set against a cool, clinical blue, the image stages an absurd pastoral laboratory: a cow reduced to an apparatus, yoked with tanks and valves, while a microphone-like probe reaches toward its open mouth as if to extract not sound but compliance. The two monumental, polka-dotted vessels read as split guardians—half milk churn, half containment chamber—turning rural abundance into something measured, mediated, and surveilled. Above, the coin-like cameo of a stern patriarch and the dangling udder form a quiet hierarchy of authority and extraction, suggesting how tradition, industry, and performance conspire to remake the living body into a branded product. Humor becomes the entry point for unease, as the work exposes a systems-thinking world where nourishment is engineered and nature is asked to “speak” in the language of machines.
