Description
This intimate assemblage turns a small archive of stamp-like vignettes into a quiet theatre of memory, where travel, history, and story are compressed into a single, deliberate field. The pale circular element—part lens, part seal, part keyhole—interrupts the sepia grid with a cool, clinical clarity, proposing that looking is itself an act of possession and omission. Framed by roughened edges and a sober mat, the work balances nostalgia with scrutiny, inviting us to consider how cultures are “collected” through images even as their narratives remain partially obscured. In its restrained palette and centered geometry, it becomes a meditation on distance: what is documented, what is erased, and what we choose to keep.
