Description
This aquatint arranges memory as architecture—an enigmatic, house-like vessel whose stitched planes and clipped apertures feel simultaneously protective and estranging. The restrained monochrome compresses depth into velvety fields, while patterned triangles and soft gradients act like fragments of recollection, crisp in places and dissolving in others. Its topmost oval forms read as watchful eyes or openings, lending the structure an inward consciousness, as if the building is not inhabited by a past but is itself the past, quietly observing. The sparse ground and slight tilt suspend the object in a state between landing and drifting, evoking the way reminiscence floats free of time yet remains weighted by shadow.
