Industrial Maritime, Linework Abstraction, Ochre Highlights, Ship Structure, Anchor Form, Atmospheric Haze, Memoryscape
Description

This work reimagines an industrial vessel as a luminous palimpsest, where scaffolding and hull dissolve into a field of tremulous line-work, as if the scene were being remembered rather than recorded. Warm ochres pool along the midline like a band of late sun, cutting through silvery greys and turning the architecture of beams and panels into a quiet, rhythmic syntax. The great curve of the anchor (or hook) reads as both weight and embrace, a suspended gesture that steadies the composition while hinting at containment, labor, and the fragile poise of engineered forms. In the surrounding swirl of marks—part water, part wind, part thought—the piece holds a tension between precision and drift, suggesting that even the most utilitarian structures float on currents of time and perception.
