Description
This raw, monochrome portrait is built from urgent, looping strokes that repeatedly search for a face yet refuse to let it settle into certainty, as if identity were being revised in real time. Dense black arcs press against large fields of white, creating a visceral chiaroscuro where presence is felt more through abrasion and erasure than through detail. The overlapping lines read like fractured memories—each mark both a wound and a repair—so the figure becomes less a likeness than a psychological terrain. In its deliberate incompletion, the work suggests the human self as a restless construction, perpetually emerging and dissolving at once.
