This work stages a charged encounter between two mask-like visages, split by a vertical seam that reads as both threshold and wound, turning intimacy into a negotiation of distance. Saturated reds and oranges flood the field with heat and urgency, while the cool blue hands and the lotus-pink forms punctuate the surface like moments of tenderness struggling to surface. The flattened features, closed or shadowed eyes, and drifting drips suggest identity as something performed and eroded—memory and desire staining the present. In this luminous, theatrical space, the gesture of offering becomes ambiguous: a promise of connection that is also a reminder of how easily the self divides.
