Mixed Media, Abstract Figurative, Mask Motif, Duality, Handwritten Text, Ochre Yellow, Memory And Identity
Description

The composition stages a charged dialogue between two modes of being: on the left, a totemic, mask-like geometry crowned with looping filigree feels ceremonial and sealed, while on the right a softer profile dissolves into clouded whites and handwritten traces, as if memory and speech are continually evaporating. A vertical seam divides these worlds like a psychological threshold—dense, embered textures and dark ovals anchoring the “public” face, against a citron field where the figure becomes porous, edged by breath, ash, and drifting pigment. Circles recur as watchful eyes, portals, or wounds—one burning red at the center—suggesting an inner pulse that persists beneath ornament, language, and social patterning. The work reads as a meditation on identity’s double exposure: the constructed icon we present and the fragile, luminous self that keeps rewriting its own story.
