Description
The figure is folded into itself like a sealed chamber, its anatomy rendered in earthen ochres that dissolve into a dark, wine-red field, turning flesh into landscape and posture into confession. A muted light skims the contours and leaves the center dense and airless, as if the painting’s true gravity lies in what cannot be spoken rather than what is shown.
