Description
This monochrome drawing stages a precarious cosmology where organic coils, mechanical chambers, and a winged human presence collide in a single, tense architecture. The composition pivots between a dense, meditative “tree” crowned by a circular void and a hovering figure whose wings read as both protection and burden, as if consciousness itself is being siphoned into invisible currents. Heavy crosshatching and layered textures compress the space into strata—machine, flesh, and dream—suggesting a world where creation is engineered yet still haunted by metamorphosis. What emerges is a quiet allegory of control versus transcendence: the desire to ascend while remaining tethered to systems that grind, spool, and replicate.
