Life In The Lockdown (Life in Lockdown) Acrylic Figurative Painting

Rendered in a spare, woodcut-like monochrome, the scene builds a quiet drama from hard-edged planes—stairs, walls, and a looming block—whose strict geometry corrals the eye into a corridor of waiting. A veiled figure at the window, half concealed by patterned shadow, turns domestic space into a threshold between presence and absence, as if the home itself were keeping a secret. The potted plant, the lone organic form, pushes against the architecture’s severity, suggesting persistence and fragile hope amid an urban stillness. Light is not painted so much as carved into existence, and the resulting striations make the air feel tense, vibrating with unspoken narrative.
