This work stages a meditative passage through concentric thresholds, where a monumental oval aperture becomes both portal and shelter, compressing the viewer’s gaze into a slow, inward spiral. Incised, calligraphic textures—like palimpsests of memory—flutter across turquoise and ember grounds, turning the surface into a tactile archive of time rather than a single image. The warm core glows as if heat were trapped inside stone, while the shadowed side-chamber with its ladder-like forms suggests a quiet ascent: a search for meaning that is perpetually partial, glimpsed through narrowing corridors of light.
