This work constructs a quiet architecture of memory through stacked, weathered rectangles that feel like walls bearing the residue of time. Veils of pale grey and ash-blue drift across the surface, while rusted umbers and charred blacks rise like submerged structures, suggesting a cityscape dissolving into atmosphere. The vertical abrasions and scraped textures turn light into a kind of erosion—an insistence that what we call stability is only a temporary layering of experience. In its restrained palette and persistent patina, the painting holds a poised tension between presence and disappearance, inviting contemplation of endurance, decay, and renewal.
