Description
This densely inked assemblage stages a fractured psyche across floating vignettes, where portraiture, disembodied limbs, and animal presences orbit a central black wedge like intrusive thoughts cutting through memory. The obsessive crosshatching builds a tactile darkness that feels both protective and suffocating, while the abrupt slashes of red read as punctures—signals of alarm, violence, or awakening—against the otherwise clinical monochrome. Frames within the image propose perception as a trapdoor: each “window” offers not clarity but another chamber of doubt, as if identity is continually re-edited by forces just outside the picture. In its uneasy balance of control and chaos, the work becomes a quiet testimony to endurance—how the self is assembled from shards, symbols, and the stubborn will to remain standing.
