Description
Suspended between gesture and relic, this patinated bronze figure becomes a quiet axis around which domestic fragments—draped like banners—stretch into space, turning an intimate act of hanging cloth into a tableau of endurance. The oxidized greens and earthen reds read as time made visible, as if the surface has absorbed weather, memory, and labor, while the heavy folds choreograph a slow, windless movement across the horizontal line. By withholding the face in shadow, the work shifts from portrait to archetype: a guardian of everyday rituals, poised where care and fatigue meet, and where what is worn becomes what is witnessed.
