A winged, bandage-wrapped figure sits in uneasy suspension, its pale, crosshatched body rendered with the tenderness of a relic while the face remains starkly human—watchful, tired, and inward. Around it, the composition fractures into flat planes of violet and sea-green where motorcycles, mechanical diagrams, and a skull-like apparatus hover like intrusive memories of speed and industry, pressing against the promise of flight. The wings, luminous yet heavy with etched feathers, read as both sanctuary and burden, suggesting a guardian spirit caught in the machinery of the contemporary world. In this tension between organics and engines, the work becomes a meditation on modern vulnerability—how the desire to transcend is continually negotiated through the debris of progress.
