Description
This sculptural quartet reads like a meditation on the helmet as both refuge and relic, its rounded volumes simultaneously cradling and enclosing an absent body. The cracked, earthen surfaces—mottled in greens and ochres—carry a patina of use and time, while the severed openings expose a tender vulnerability where protection fails. Warm, directional light turns each piece into a quiet monument, animating fissures and abrasions so that “wear” becomes a kind of memory inscribed in clay. The seed-like encrustations suggest growth overtaking armor, implying that nature and time inevitably reclaim even our most rigid defenses.
