Description
This work reads like an unearthed palimpsest—layers of torn, sun-baked paper holding the ghost of a diagrammatic world where faces, symbols, and pathways interlock in a quiet cosmology. A restrained palette of ochres and sand tones turns light into a tactile presence, as if heat and time have stained the surface into memory rather than pigment. The central field’s incised, labyrinthine linework suggests both intimacy and distance: a map of inner life rendered with the authority of an artifact, its fractures and seams insisting that meaning is assembled, not found whole. In the subtle interplay between opacity and translucence, the piece becomes an elegy for preservation—what survives, what erodes, and what is rewritten each time the eye returns.
