Description
This four-part Ganapati series fractures the familiar icon into tactile fragments—weathered trunk, hovering hands, and shell-like feet—so devotion is rebuilt through absence as much as presence. Against a quiet, earthen ground, the white halo-like void reads as a sacred silence, isolating each element with the clarity of a relic and the vulnerability of a memory. The warm browns and ochres evoke wood, clay, and incense smoke, suggesting divinity as something lived-in and material rather than distant, while the shifting arrangement across panels becomes a gentle choreography of becoming—an image assembling itself in the viewer’s mind. In that deliberate dismemberment, the work proposes faith not as a fixed portrait, but as a continual act of recognition and re-connection.
