Fear Animals Sculpture

Stretched in a languid horizontal repose, the crocodile’s dark, tactile body reads as both sculpture and shadow—an ancient presence rendered with quiet inevitability. The matte surface absorbs light rather than reflecting it, collapsing detail into mass and turning the creature into a solemn silhouette where ridged spine and armored tail become a slow rhythm across the stone-like base. This suspension between stillness and latent force evokes a paradox of nature: primal endurance tempered by domestic display, as if the wild has been momentarily persuaded into contemplation. In its grounded weight and deliberate restraint, the work invites us to sense time itself—patient, watchful, and unmoved.
