Divinity 2 Acrylic Religious Painting

This work stages divinity as both tenderness and threat: a serene, mask-like face anchors the lower field while the dark, many-armed goddess rises behind it, her halo of severed heads forming a grim rosary of consequence. The composition’s strict frontal symmetry and flattened, icon-like planes lend the scene a ritual stillness, yet the red accents—tongue, bindi, and palms—pulse like warning signals against the ashen skin and earthen, stippled ground. Patterned textures and repeating botanical/seed motifs evoke a cosmic fabric where life proliferates even as it is cut down, suggesting an unbroken cycle of creation, destruction, and renewal. The crescent blade and cobra read as guardians of liminal thresholds, framing a narrative in which ego surrenders to a vast feminine force that both terrifies and liberates.
